A hand-colored engraving after W. P. Provenance, titled Primrose Hill in 1780. This print on paper depicts the titular pastoral hill, which is cast below a cloudy sky with a shepherd and his flock of sheep entering from the foreground. To the lower right corner of the composition is an in plate signature. To the lower margins is a printed title. The print is presented under glass beneath single-layered matting in a green and gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- print discolored; wear and scuffing to lower corners of backing paper; glass could benefit from dusting.
