A Heathkit Multimeter vacuum tube tester . This electronic tube tester is designed to test the characteristics of vacuum tubes, also known as thermionic valves, found in radios and television sets in the early 20th century. This machine has a control panel with many rotary dials and slide switches for operation, and a needle dial to the center showing “Good” and “Bad” thresholds. The machine is housed within a wooden case that has a latching swing top lid, and a plastic handle. The outside of the case has ‘Hands OFF’ written across lid in white paint.
