Antique Nickel Plate I.H. Peters & Co. Hamburg Glass Punch Bowl

Item Details

A nickel silver and glass punchbowl. The piece was produced by I H. Peters & Co. of Hamburg in the 19th century. The bowl was embellished with fluted cuts within rectangular panels. A German silver (no silver content) or nickel plated lid with an applied grape finial together with further applied grapes around the rim covers the bowl. A crown mark on the underside of the lid reads ‘I H. Peters & Co. Hamburg’ and an engraved date on the top ‘3 January 1873’.

Condition

- some minor surface wear with faint markings and tarnishing.
