Japanese Meiji Period Metal Vase

Item Details

A metal Japanese vase from the late Meiji period (1868-1912). This detailed vase features amphora shaped body, scalloped rim and is adorned with raised images of foliage and various animals. The underside of the vase is marked with a seal which reads ‘Made in Kyoto, Japan with quality materials’ (大日本、京都、材上造).
