Hummel Plate Collection
Item Details
A large collection of Hummel plates. This lot contains twenty-seven decorative plates, with five of them saucers. The vintage plates are dated from the 1970s through the 1990s. The ‘Christmas 1971’ plate, depicting a child with a candle, is marked underneath ‘Collector Series – Christmas Plate – Limited First Edition – 1971 – …portraying the authentic works of Sister Berta Hummel – Made in West Germany – Schmid’. Other plates are marked similarly and may include the phrases ‘Handpainted’, ‘Goebel’, and ‘Not To Be Used For Food’. Some of the plates have been wired for wall hanging.
