An Aubusson-style accent rug. This needlepoint rug is handmade in a palette of rust, ivory, gray, and camel. It features a classical design beginning with an octagonal medallion, which frames smaller medallions including a small star at its center. The large medallion rests on an ivory field with subtle scrolling vines and broken borders. The outer borders are grounded in taupe, gray, camel, and rust, some featuring scalloped edges, all containing floral or foliate detail. Edges are backed with a fabric guard strip on the underside. The rug is unmarked.
