A still life oil on canvas. The work depicts fruit, pottery and decorative glassware placed on a wooden table, which has been draped with an off-white tablecloth. The painting features warm hues of red, orange, green, yellow, brown, cream and purple. The work is signed A. Höppner in brown paint to the lower right; however, no clear artist attribution could be made. The piece is presented without glass in a sixteen-sided gold tone wooden frame. The frame includes a hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- canvas would benefit from cleaning; surface wear and scratching to frame finish; some flaking to paint at edge near signature; faint scratches to canvas; staining to canvas verso; frame does not have paper backing; some loose joints to frame.
