An oil painting on board of ice skaters by Rudolf Hendrik Oldeman (Netherlands, 1901 – 1964). Signed by hand in paint to the lower right corner, the painting depicts a frozen lake filled with figures walking and skating about around boats. The painting is mounted in a gold tone wood frame with an olive green velvet liner and a gold tone plaque with the last name of the artist to the lower middle. A wire for hanging purposes and a biographical decal about the artist are present to the verso.
Condition
- to fair; slight yellowing to varnish, small stains scattered across top center/ right, a crack to varnish to lower right, frame molding cracked to top right, stains to velvet liner.
