An original acrylic painting on canvas by contemporary Cincinnati artist and art critic, Fran Watson, playfully titled Diebenkorner. The artist openly and frequently references the formidable Bay Area painter Richard Diebenkorn in her work, who is clearly a source of inspiration for her usually large-scale, geometric and Expressionist paintings. This skillfully executed abstracted still life composition involves an aesthetically pleasing arrangement of shapes, textures, colors and patterns. The painting is signed to the lower right and is mounted within a simple blonde wood panel frame, equipped to hang. Watson has exhibited extensively and has works in many private collections across her hometown of Cincinnati.
