A hand-colored lithograph on paper by Elizabeth Gould (1804 – 1841). This work depicts a pair of Australian Button Quail and is has ‘Hemipodius Velox: Gould’ marked in plate to the lower margin with ‘J & E Gould del’ signed in plate just below to the left. It is presented in a silver tone wood frame with a wire to the verso ready to hang.

Condition

- stained along edges; two tears along top; corner joints to frame are slightly separating; backing has small punctures.

Dimensions

- measured frame; visible image measures approximately 19.5" W x 13.5" H.
