A hand-knotted, circular Indo-Persian area rug. This Indian-made wool rug is woven in a palette of black, gold, and crimson. It features a herati design incorporating a single, small star amid palmettes, flowers, lancet leaves, and vines over a black field. Encircling the field are four borders, including a primary herati border over gold. The rug finishes with decoratively knotted wool warp fringe. Marking on the reverse includes the statement ‘No Child Labour Used in Production of this Carpet.’
