Signed Handwoven Turkish Kilim Rug
Item Details
A handwoven, flat weave Turkish kilim rug. This lightweight, cotton rug has a maroon red field with an octagonal, black center medallion with a geometric floral pattern on a carnelian red lozenge, having a rectilinear and stylized floral elements to each end. The field is populated with rectilinear foliate elements in shades of red, yellow and green. The rug has an inscription or signature or inscription to one end of the lozenge. It features a single border with the same pattern accented with a cream zig zag fame, and overcast edges. It has cotton warp fringe to each end, and is tagged to reverse.
