Beatles' T.C.G. Trading Cards and Plastic Badge
Item Details
A group of ten Beatles T.C.G. trading cards and a large plastic badge. The badge may have been made from a fan, and features a circa 1964 black and white offset lithographic photo of the band wearing collarless jackets, with the words ‘THE BEATLES’ beneath that. This image has been set in a circular lavender plastic frame with clear plastic front, and a yellow plastic back marked ‘PAT. PEND.’ with simple safety-pin style clasp. The group of trading cards feature black and white lithographic reproductions of the musicians in various settings, with facsimile signatures in blue. Two feature Ringo Starr, two George Harrison, two Paul McCartney, and four John Lennon. One card is marked to verso ‘2nd Series, No. 91,’ while all others are of the ‘3rd Series,’ numbers 138, 139, 140, 142, 144, 150, 157, 161 and 163. All are also marked ‘©T.C.G. Printed in U.S.A.’
Condition
- some toning and edgewear to cards, with no. 138 (Ringo) having some cracks to front surface. Plastic badge also has some wear along edges.
