A vibrant, colorful Northwest Persian pictorial hand-knotted carpet runner. This wool rug features a repeating bird and vase design on colorful turtle-style medallions on an ochre field. The field is populated with additional figural animal and bird forms with symbols and rectilinear floral elements, in pink, light blue, olive green and yellow, with purple and chartreuse accents. It has a complex, compound border with overcast edges,and is unmarked.
