Item Details
A small hand-knotted Malayer Heriz accent rug. This wool rug features geometric and floral designs in shades of red, pink, and ivory on a maroon field. It has a central medallion featuring a scrolled edge with pendants to either end, on a vibrant scarlet field. The corner spandrels have a large stylized floral element on a contrasting white field. Two running water guard borders on an ochre field frame the primary border, having a variety of open flower heads in complementary colors. The rug is finished with a white cotton fringe to either short side. Unmarked.
