A signed 2013 limited edition serigraph on cream paper by well-listed and world-renowned street artist and activist Shepard Fairey (South Carolina/California; born 1970), titled Conquer Babylon from the artist’s album cover series. The image depicts a male lion aggressively devouring a record to the central lozenge, surrounded by printed text and foliate motif. The print is numbered 136 of an edition of 200, signed and dated in pencil by the artist to the lower margin. This work is mounted behind black mat, under museum glass in a matte black composite frame, equipped to hang.
Fairey is represented by Irvine Contemporary gallery in Washington, D.C. The artist currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
