A Louis XVI style caned and upholstered fauteuil. The walnut-stained frame features a curved crest rail with reeded trim framing a caned back. The padded armrests continue to curved supports over a cushioned seat. The chair rises on turned, stop-fluted legs. It is upholstered in plaid fabric in shades of yellow, cream, red, and orange. There are no visible maker’s marks or labels on this piece.
