Towle Silversmiths "Rattan" Sterling Silver Flatware

A forty-three piece set of sterling silver flatware. The pieces were produced by the Towle Silversmiths in the 1950s Rattan pattern. The group consists of ten teaspoons, ten knives with stainless steel blades, four serving pieces, nine salad forks and ten dinner forks. The pieces as the pattern name suggests, have handles shaped like pieces of rattan. There are impressed marks on the underside in a rectangle reading ‘Towle Sterling’. The total approximate weight is 56.695 ozt. excluding the knives with stainless steel blades.
