A Chinese carved bowenite sculpture. Composed of a singular irregular shaped stone, this delicately carved relief depicts two seated figures in the foreground, framed by an arching tree. In shortened perspective, it features a stepped landscape of architectural sculptures spreading into the distance. This work is presented on a carved wooden stand.
