Niloak Art Pottery "Mission Swirl" Bowl
Item Details
A Niloak art Pottery Mission Swirl bowl. This footed bowl has a green, brown, blue and gray mated swirl design to the outside with a green and black glossy glazed swirl to the inside. ‘Mission Swirl,’ is a multi-colored pattern using different clays of red, tan, blue and brown in a counter-clockwise direction. Kaolin is the clay used in the production this pottery and spelled backward is ‘Niloak’, and was produced in Benton, Arkansas, from 1910 to 1918 and 1921 to 1947.
