A vintage wooden rocking chair by Shafer Commercial Seating Inc. The mixed wood, walnut-stained frame is embellished with gold tone linework. It features a tablet crest with downscrolled ears above four shaped spindles over a contoured, plank seat. It has serpentine arms and the chair rises on splayed, ring-and spool-turned legs joined by a box stretcher and ending in curved rockers. The underside retains a tag for ‘Shafer Commercial Seating Inc. / Denver, Colo.’
