"Lolita" French Advertising Poster

Item Details

A very large French advertising poster designed by Roger Soubie (French, 1898-1984) for the 1962 movie, Lolita. The colorful offset lithograph depicts a girl wearing red heart-shaped sunglasses with a lollipop in her mouth. The poster reads in French to the top, ‘How did they ever make a movie of Lolita?’ The lower left corner is marked, ‘Visa Ministeriel No. 516’ and the lower right is marked, ‘Cinemato 29. R. Marsoulan, Paris’. The piece is housed in a beveled black frame.
