Original Limited Edition Artist's Proof Color Lithograph
Item Details
An original artist’s proof color lithograph on wove paper. The image depicts a Parisian square, illustrated in gestural thin black linework with loose, painterly color accents. Women in gowns and wide hats walk with men in tuxedos across the square, which is surrounded by rows of columned buildings. The print is signed illegibly in pencil to the lower right and is labeled ‘EA 49/70’ in pencil to the lower right. ‘EA’ stands for epreuve d’artiste which is French for artist’s proof. The print is double-matted in beige and blue with red and yellow lining and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with brushed silver tone finish and a hanging wire.
