Geneau was born in Normandy and attended Decorative Arts in Paris and has been widely recognized for his high quality of Hyperrealism. He is listed in the Benezit. The work depicts a delft-style bowl of pears and apples resting with an outdoor landscape to the background. The work is signed to the lower left corner and is unframed but features blackout painted edges to the canvas.
