Item Details
A salt crock and stoneware bowl. There is a round stoneware bowl, glazed in semi-opaque white, which is hand-painted in a naive style, featuring animals and plants, including an owl and bamboo, and is marked ‘CHIN’ to the underside. An antique or vintage salt box has a round body with a pierced handle at the top, to allow the box to be hung on a nail. The salt box is made of glazed and hand-painted stoneware in blue and white, and has raised grapes, and ‘SALT’ in raised lettering. No maker’s marks.
