A hand-knotted Persian Heriz area rug. The rug features a central medallion in black, red, cream, and taupe that sits on top of a powder blue field with a spandrel to each corner in a complementary palette.The field is populated by floral and abstract elements with a crenelated edge and is surrounded by a compound resolved border. The border features a turtle pattern throughout in red and sage with a short wool fringe to either end and is tagged to the back ‘indo-Persian Heriz’.
