C.B. Williams Oil Painting on Board "Mr. Micawber"
Item Details
An oil painting on board titled Mr. Micawber by C. B. Williams, created circa 1900. The work depicts a half-length portrait of the character Wilkins Micawber from Charles Dickens’s 1850 novel David Copperfield. To the upper right corner is the artist’s monogram. To the verso is an inscription giving the artist, the title, the year, and a personal note. Presented in a gilt and gesso frame without glass.

- missing areas of gesso to frame; broken hanging wire.
