A shin-hanga woodcut on paper titled Fisherman at Night by Utagawa Yoshimune II (歌川 芳宗 , 二世, Japanese, 1863-1941), also known as Arai Yoshimune (新井芳宗). The woodcut depicts a solitary man fishing at night below a bridge with figures covered in shadow. The piece is stamped with the artist’s ‘Yoshimune’ red seal mark on the left and unframed. Hasegawa Publishing’s ‘All Rights Reserved’ (版権所有) statement and ‘Nishinomiya Yosaku’ (西宮與作) name is printed in the right margin.
