1981 National League "Best Record" Baseball

Item Details

A 1981 National League (Feeney President) ‘Best Record’ baseball. Major League baseball had a players strike that split the season into two sections. The strike lasted from June 13 to August 9th. The Cincinnati Reds had the best record in 1981, but because they didn’t finish in first place in the second half of the season they were not permitted to play in the National League Championship Series. The first half of the season basically wasn’t counted. The Reds took Official National League baseballs and had some of them stamped with the Reds logo and ’Baseball’s Best Record 1981’.
