Japanese Ichimatsu Boy Doll with Squeeze Box
Item Details
A vintage late 1940s Gofun Ichimatsu doll featuring a young boy with hand-painted hair and glass eyes. This doll features a faded dark purple Kimono with repeating lantern pattern and a yellow Obi (belt) with the paper inner liner to the body and a working squeeze box to the stomach. Doll includes a non-original long cotton bib apron with eyelet sleeves in yellow that fits this piece.
Condition
- gofun (chalky oyster shell paint used to cover doll) is chipping to the hands, feet, and head showing composite underneath. Head shows distinctive seam mark with left ear showing minor repair but still cracked.
