An oil painting on board of the Trakai Castle. This painting depicts two men found on the sandy shore of lake Galve hoisting a sailboat towards them. To the distance is the aforementioned Lithuanian castle, which sits near a canopy of trees and a mountainous landscape. The painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame featuring moulded foliate patterning to the surface and hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- could benefit from cleaning; yellowing to paint; water stains along edge and to backing board; minor seam splitting and minor breaks to cast embellishment on frame.
