A signed limited edition etching titled Les Quatre Filles by Polish born German artist Hans Bellmer. Hans Bellmer (1902-1975) was a pioneer in surrealist art during the second World War. Bellmer was a painter, photographer, illustrator, doll maker and social revolutionary who used savagery to the female image in a myriad ways to comment on desire, passion and chaos. This piece is ink on rice paper and depicts four women made of hands, sticks and bricks. Signed to the lower right margin and numbered to the lower left margin 32/50. Unframed.
