Hand Carved English Oak Hall Tree Circa The Mid 1800s

A hand carved hall tree comprised of english oak wood with a dark ebony finish, which was crafted by Artistic Furniture -P.E. Gane – of Bristol, England, circa the mid 1800s. This beautiful hall tree features very intricately carved designs throughout, including floral, foliate and scroll motifs, as well as several tribal-like figures near the center of this piece. The hall tree has a total of six hooks spaced out around the top with a small rectangular surface below and an open rectangular hole on either side for storing umbrellas and canes. The maker’s mark is stamped to a plaque on the backside.

Condition
- Nicks and scratches throughout. One of the pieces is no longer attached to the front but is included. Fading to painted finish throughout.
