Pair of Hand Painted Chinese Vases

Item Details

A pair of Chinese hand painted vases. The vase are decorated with images of the Eight Immortals. In Chinese Daoist mythology, the Eight Immortals are He Xiangu, Cao Guojiu, Li Tieguai, Lan Caihe, Lü Dongbin, Han Xiangzi, Zhang Guolao and Zhongli Quan. Included is a tall cylindrical vase with the images of the Immortals clustered around a bonsai tree. A round lidded container, images of four of the Immortals appear on the side of the vessel including, Li Tieguai, Lan Caihe, Lu Dongbin.

Condition

The vases have evidence of age.
