A book, Heroes, Plain Folks, and Skunks: The Life and Times of Happy Chandler, autographed by Happy Chandler. A. B. ‘Happy’ Chandler was Major League Baseball’s second Commissioner, a US senator and a Kentucky governor. Chandler fought to break the race barrier in Major League Baseball, allowing Jackie Robinson to play for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. This book was published circa 1989 by Bonus Books of Chicago. ‘Albert B. Chandler’ is signed in black pen to the free front endpaper.
