1961 and 1972 World Series Baseball Ticket Stubs

A pair of Major League Baseball World Series ticket stubs. The stubs are from 1961 and 1972. The 1961 World Series ticket stub is from Game 3 played at Crosley Field. This ticket was for the Lower Grandstand and depicts an image of Mr. Red mascot holding a bat. The ticket is made of a thin cardboard and housed in a protective holder. The Reds lost to the New York Yankees in the 1961 World Series. Finally, there is a 1972 World Series ticket stub. This ticket stub is from Game 7 played at historic Riverfront Stadium. With colors of blue, pink, and red, this ticket portrays an image of Riverfront Stadium and reads ‘National League vs. American League’ in blue lettering. The Oakland Athletics defeated the Cincinnati Reds in this Fall Classic. The ticket is housed in a protective top loader.
