Item Details

A Indonesian artisanal hand-drawn oversized batik textile. This piece is composed of cotton fabric which has been hand-drawn and colored with the aid of wax in areas to render a series of mirrored depictions of traditional dragons riding over a stylized, patterned landscape while affixed to ornate carriages. The fabric is stretched and placed in a stained wooden frame with hanging wire affixed to the verso.
