A Chinese brass Guanyin figurine. The figurine depicts Guanyin (Avalokiteshvara), the bodhisattva of mercy, seated on a guardian lion with one knee raised. In her right hand, she holds a ruyi scepter and her left is held in the vitarka mudra. The head, hands, and feet of the figurine highly polished while the rest has a blacken patina. The figurine is marked to the underside with a Qianlong reign mark, however, the piece was produced in the 20th century.
