Life Sized Chicago 1999 "Cows on Parade" named "Sacred Cow"

This is one of 322 decorated life sized cows that were featured in the summer of 1999’s “Cows on Parade” in Chicago, IL. Named the “Sacred Cow”, this piece of art was created by artists Jennifer Zackin, Sopheap Pich, and Sanford Biggers, and was donated to the Chicago Park District to put on display at Roosevelt Rd. and Lake Shore Drive in Downtown Chicago during the summer of 1999.

The cow is one of a kind, covered with colorful tiles and paints in different shapes of tiles and pools of color. There are reds, oranges, yellows, green, blue, and more in different patterns throughout.
