French Model 1854 Style Heavy Cavalry Sword

Item Details

A French heavy cavalry sword with model 1854 style hilt and married steel blade. This sword features a curved brass guard and includes a steel scabbard with two hanging loops. The sword blade is marked with a laurel wreath ‘B’ for Jean-George Bick, and an ‘L’ for Francois Louis Lobstein. The guard is marked with the digits ‘1473’, a shield mark, ‘36’ in an octagon and ‘T’ or ‘I’ in a circle.

Condition

- surface scratches and minor rust to sword and scabbard. Missing wire on wrapped grip.
