A signed artist’s proof lithograph on paper titled Evergreen by listed American artist Chris Forrest (b. 1946). Dated 1980, this work features a few chickadees perched on evergreen tree branches. The print is marked ‘AP’ and numbered 40 out of an edition of 40 in graphite to the lower left. The print is titled to the lower center margin and signed by hand in graphite to the lower right. It is not mounted and remains unframed.

Born in New Jersey, Forrest is known for his scientifically rendered prints of wildlife. He works for Evergreen and is a strong advocate for wildlife conservation. He is a member of the Society of Animal Artists, and his work has been collected by various institutions including the New Jersey State Museum, the National Academy of Science, and the Ward Foundation Museum among others.
