An original watercolor painting by listed artist Alice Schille (American, 1869 – 1955). This watercolor portrays a sandy street scene with houses in colorful hues of blue, lavender, salmon and pale yellow with green rolling hills in the distance. The painting is signed to the lower right and is presented in a gold finished wooden frame with neutral matting, and a raised inner border behind glass. Listed artist Alice Schille, originally from Columbus, Ohio, is known for her Impressionistic and Post-Impressionist paintings and influence. In the early years she studied at the Art Students League of New York before traveling abroad and then later taught at the Columbus Art School.
