Semi-Antique Hand-Knotted Anatolian Area Rug

A semi-antique Anatolian rug in wool. This slim-rectangular area rug is hand-knotted in an abrashed palette of reds, camel, and brown with ivory and teal highlights. It features an allover geometric pattern of diagonal stripes consisting of diamonds and hourglass shapes over a madder red field. Framing the field are multiple geometric guard strips including sawtooth and medahil reciprocal patterns. Selvedges are double overcast, the rug finishing at either end with ivory wool warp fringe. It is unmarked.

Condition
