Antique Needlepoint Aubusson Carpet Runner
Item Details
An antique needlepoint Aubusson carpet runner. This runner is likely a section of what once was a very large work. The wool rug is rendered in a palette of raspberry, camel, and olive-brown. It features three rectangular panels, each containing an elaborate display of flowers, with scrolling acanthus borders on three of four sides. The rug has finished edges, with a bound seam attached to the back of one side. It is unmarked.
