A 1931 landscape oil painting on canvas by listed Hungarian artist László Neogrády (1896-1962). The work, titled A Quiet Stream, depicts a rural forest stream in autumn, utilizing muted hues of green, orange, blue and brown. The piece is signed and dated in brown paint to the lower right. The painting is presented without glass in a bronze tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition
- three tears to canvas surface; all are about 0.5" long, with areas of paint loss around each; the two tears to center right are patched with black electrical tape adhered to the verso; third tear is located at top center; craquelure present to painting, especially to edges; long vertical scratches to top left with paint lift present; darkening to varnish; drips and residue to top left; surface scratches to frame surface; abrasions to frame edge at top left; canvas does not include backing paper.
