An oil on canvas landscape painting titled Königssee, Bavarian Alps by listed German-born painter, Henry Koch (1846 – 1906) It depicts the Königssee Lake in the Bavarian region of Germany surrounded by alpine mountains. It is signed H Koch to the lower right and the title is written in pencil to the verso on the stretcher. It is mounted in an ornate gilt gesso on wood frame.
Condition
- yellowing of the varnish; discoloration to top right.
