A hand-knotted Moroccan area rug. The rug features a central floral medallion in a palette of powder blue, cream, orange, and black that sits on top of a light pink field. The field is populated by floral guls with a spandrel to each corner in a complementary palette with a square grid design throughout. The rug features a compound resolved border with a guard and primary border both offering a pattern of abstract elements throughout in a complementary blue and cream palette with a wool fringe to either end. The rug is tagged to the back ‘Morocco, Superieure’.
