A hand-knotted Iranian Shiraz area rug. The rug features three central pole medallions with a serrated edge along each medallion in a palette of deep red, cream, and black that sits on top of a deep red field. The field is populated by geometric patterns in a complementary palette and is surrounded by a compound resolved border that features a saw tooth pattern in white and a barber pole style guard border. The rug has a wool warp fringe and is tagged to the back.
