Iranian Hamadan Hand Knotted Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan accent rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, vermillion, gray, and green. It begins with a central star medallion with pendants over an ivory field. The field is populated with palmettes, florets, and other symbolic motifs, which continue into the spandrels. Framing the field are four borders. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing in ivory cotton warp fringe. The rug is marked on the reverse.
