Hand-Knotted Persian Hamadan Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan accent rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of deep red, sapphire, forest green, and tan. It begins with a sapphire colored notched central medallion over a red field, which features a stylized herati pattern from corner to corner. Framing the field are four borders, including barber pole patterns in pink and camel. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with ivory cotton warp fringe. The rug is marked on the reverse.
